Everyone knew the legacy on Kenny Pratt would one day pay off.

    Re: MBB Recruiting News

Well, Chris' last article was about Lockett, and he's a Sun Devil. Where will Wilcox go?

    Crosscyed,

Just curious........ but it seems like you have some animosity towards each of Chris' articles? I, for one, appreciate the recruiting info, I don't see why negative comments like that have to be made. Maybe I am misreading your statements?

Nah, it's just that whenever he writes an article about a recruit, they automatically seem to go elsewhere. I think it's a curse. Gibbs, Davila, Lockett and Iverson (I think)

    Re: MBB Recruiting News

Could it be his animosity is that as someone in another thread brought this up, most of the MBB recruits he does articles on, they always land somewhere else?

    Re: MBB Recruiting News

Cool man, I see where you are coming from... appreciate the answer.....I can imagine Chris Williams is in a tough spot trying to write articles each week when there are only 5 or so members of each basketball recruiting class. Hopefully Wilcox is one of them.

    Re: MBB Recruiting News

Maybe Chris should do an article on somebody (NOT Barnes please we need to get him) who has a very good chance of coming to Iowa State to try to snap the curse. Like a preferred walkon or something. Just a thought.

Wonder if he's a Mormon, and will have a two-year missionary service during his stay? If his Dad played in the 60s-70s, there's a good chance, as they didn't recruit many non-Mormons back then..

    Re: MBB Recruiting News

Mormon ties or not, battling with BYU for a recruit is not where we need to be if we want to win future Big 12 titles.

And when they say they don't know much about ISU- they are not kidding. From personal experince, almost nobody in Utah knows where the state's greatest athlete of all time (Cael) went to college.

    Re: MBB Recruiting News

I want to lose recruiting battles with Kansas, Minnesota, and Georgetown. Not Utah. I hope greg steps up the talent level of recruiting. I like the kids we have but let's all be honest for one moment.

    Justin Hamilton-Project
    Wes Eichmeyer- Project
Dominique Buckley- We beat xavier and Dayton for his services
Clinton Mann- We defeated Iowa for him.

    Nothing for 2009

    Jordan Dykstra-Big time recruit.

We need Harrison Barnes and one other stud.

The fact that we got verbals from Wes and Buckley probably has something to do with the levels of competition for him. Didn't I read somewhere that Buckley was one of the top prospects in the state of Michigan?

The staff feels Buckley is the real deal and IMO, I don't think Eikmeir is a project.

    Re: MBB Recruiting News

I wonder what kind of chances we have with 5* Nolan Dennis out of Las Vegas and Rodney williams 4* out of minnesota. I dont think Buckley is a project also. He just doesnt get alot of publicity being a point guard who doesnt score a ton and committed to us very early. Harrison Barnes is definetely a stud and we really need him. It would awesome to get Darius Stevens. I would say that would be an awesome 2010 class

    Re: MBB Recruiting News

Eichmier and Buckley committed early so they most likely stopped being recruited heavily by others
