Hoiberg to be on 1700 the champ

...shortly with Cotlar and Garman. That is all.

Re: Hoiberg to be on 1700 the champ

Talking about draft-value of Royce now - mentions that great play vs. Drummond, Kidd-Gilchrist, and T. Jones is significant, but he showed a lot all season, not just in the NCAA tournament.

Regarding next year's team, he will do what's best for "the kid" (referring to any of his players), meaning he won't advise player to stay just so he has a good team the following year.

Maybe the others listening are better at dissecting words, but to me, Fred is not giving away absolutely any clues as to what he will advise Royce.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's just because he doesn't yet know what to do either. He's been too busy lately to have looked into any of this stuff up till yesterday.

    Re: Royce developing a jumpshot:
Says he improved over the year, and he'll continue to improve. Also, that with the shooters we had, Royce didn't need to take that shot (15' jimmy).

    Re: incoming players including transfers:
Niang has a chance to play right away. Says Okoro and SDW could also. Gibson has chance to be a BIG-TIME player (he emphasized "big-time"). Other players (McGee, Booker, Babb, etc) will continue to improve.

Felt great all year (concerning heart), was more anxious for Texas in Conf tourney than NCAA's.

Diante's doing "fantastic" over in France, Vanderbeken palying in the D-league.

Would tell anybody playing UK to play them the same way we did, but hope they miss shots. (laughing)

"reintroduced myself to family last night" will hit the road recruiting later this week.

While he watches more of the tournament, His wife watches Bravo/ real houswives of ____.

    Decent/ different interview.

Exactly. It's not as if there is some master plan that is written in stone already on how this unfolds. He will start to get much more info (especially now that Royce has probably elevated his draft status in the past 96 hours.

He will get more feedback and then present all the facts as he knows them. Then Royce has a decision to make.

Interesting... I always figured Naz Long would get an immediate chance to play right away, but I guess we do have pretty good depth at the point guard position so it wouldn't be crazy for him to redshirt possibly

Naz has a very good chance to play right away. Nobody knows what we're going to get out of Lucious

Actually Your backwords on this. Lucious has already played 3 years so we pretty much know what we are getting with him. We are really not sure if Naz is going to have a chance to play right away.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Agreed. Everything I've seen and heard of Lucious tells me that he'll be very good.

Could someone possibly post a link to this like the Royce interview last week? Thanks in advance.
