jones plays on the perimeter sometimes so prob ejim on him and royce on unibrow. and I highly doubt scotty guards the PG. he would get burnt. he's prob on lamb. Bubu and mcgee should play alot but we always say that and mcgee only played 9 mins last game!! WTH is up with that?

I know many people have tried, but failed in guarding royce. But i do think Jones has the capability to do it. IDK though.

    Re: Matchups

I think I saw an interview with Babb where he said he would be guarding "the other Lamb". Not sure if it was the DMR or where.

    Edit: Found it.....he has Lamb.

So if Babb draws Lamb, does that mean that Allen is on MKG, or are we going with a 2 guard lineup?

    Re: Matchups

Melvin will guard jones, Royce on Davis, I'm okay with Scotty on either of the guards, neither is a great matchup but we've held our on against better backcourts than this. Any chance we see us go 3 bigs at some point? Melvin and Royce matchup ok with MKG, then have the other and Booker on the bigs?

    Re: Matchups

Honestly, I can't figure it out if Babb is on Lamb. I really thought he might be on Kidd, and then have Melvin/Royce on Davis/Jones. Put Allen on Lamb, and Scotty on Teague. Either that or some sort of zone.

Guess we will have to wait and see, but with their front line of 6-9, 6-10, and 6-7 it's tough to cover starting what is essentially 3 guards.

Any chance of zoning (at least occasionally)?

I have no idea if that would be a good strategy.

I think we'll show some zone, most people try to make them beat them with the 3, but they are so big that they get a lot of lobs over the zone and can kill you on the boards as well. They are tough to stop either way, the zone may be the lesser of 2 evils.

We just don't match up with them very well it seems.

    Re: Matchups

I think they could show a zone, like a 2-3, and then move from that into man. They did a little of that against UCONN. It looked like a zone, but they all had their man to pick up once the play started.

Maybe what will happen is that they will not match up well with our 3 guard offense, and they will have to take out one of their big men and replace with a guard. I'm guessing though that Kidd can cover a guard or a big man.
