    Re: Kimmel banned from MNF

I have thought it would be fun to hear someone like the Sklar brothers do some play by play or color commentary during MNF. Over half the games aren't interesting to me to begin with because they're 2 teams I don't really care about.

People used to tune in to hear Cosell "tell it like it is", and ever since the MNF "brand" has been searching for the next Howard Cosell. Why not mix it up a bit and try something DIFFERENT?

Theisman was truly worthless. For a guy that played so much ball, he had so little insight into what was happening on the field. Personally I liked Dennis Miller and really can't stand Cornheiser. I DO like Wilbon when he gets a chance though and I LOVE the sideline girl that Joe Namath tired to do on air.... Suzy Kolbert?

When they ran an article on this on Foxsports.com, they had a poll with who should have been fired, Theisman or Kornheiser. Kornheiser was the choice 73-27.

Tony is really a mouth that can be moved to another venue. He can be replaced also. Still funny that Rush blew his opportunity. What is the netwrok thinking on the switcheroos and their guests?

    Re: Kimmel banned from MNF

First of all...I can't remember the last time I made plans to watch MNF. It used to be special but it just isn't anymore. Maybe it's because there are so many games and so many sports on all the time now. Maybe it's because the halftime show on MNF used to be the only place to see highlights of your favorite team if you did not live in that area. At any rate, MNF means nothing to me anymore.

Having said that, as I was flipping channels last Monday I stopped when I saw Kimmel. I laughed hard at the quip about Tom Brady impregnating 2 super models at one time. Two things probably came into play with this ban...1) this is the Disney family of networks and...2) the NFL is very image conscious and tries fervently to control their image as much as they can...you can bet they put a call into their ESPN partner and told them that it was unacceptable for their "golden boy" QB to get this kind of treatment.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.
