Once again, CR Gazette with the best article.

    Re: Great Article re: Game

They mentioned it in the article, but I'll mention it again. Chris Allen's twisting, mid-air jump shot was one of the coolest shots I've seen us make all season. I don't think anyone in the building expected him to do that. And he just calmly nailed it.

Great article. Glad to see that they didn't get copy the AP storyline. They did a nice job putting together a story that was well written and unique.

    Re: Great Article re: Game

"Palo’s circus shot gave ISU a 61-52 edge with 5:45 left. I didn’t hear the telecast of the game, but doubt color commentator Bill Raftery gave it his famous “dagger” term. But psychically, it turned out to be just that. UConn had played good defense on that Iowa State possession, but Palo found a way to do something better."

Funny thing is, he did call that Palo shot the dagger.

Yea weird hearing somebody talk about how well ISU played rather than how bad UCONN played. Cuz ya know, UCONN should win that game 9/10 times

Mike Hlas is really a great sportswriter and I really enjoy his writing. Its too bad he doesn't get to cover ISU more often.

Gotta agree with that. I did not expect him to finish. I haven't been a huge CA fan this year, he seems to force so much. He stepped up big last night. Most impressed that he played good D. When Scotty was getting burned on D and we couldn't keep him on the floor, CA gave us the scoring we had to have. Great game on his part.
