    Congrats to the Cyclones

    Well, Royce White is an incredible player and your team is quite talented and well coached. Going in we knew there were some big mismatches especially with our bigs and your game plan absolutely neutralized our bigs and the possible advantage UConn may have had. Well deserving win for ISU. It has been a pleasure interacting with the fans that came over to The Boneyard. Enjoy the win your team earned it.

    Thanks bro. I was glad we drew UConn because it's 10x better to win or lose against a name like UConn, than say Southern Miss or whoever the other 9 seeds are. That is a compliment to your program obviously.

    As you saw tonight, we are a very difficult match up for big teams. It's teams with 3 guards that can dribble penetrate and score that really cause damage for us. When we play against bigger teams, we usually can swing the mismatch in our favor.

    You know...I could almost feel good about this thread except their coach is a cheater and their fans are thugs. Trust me, I know, I was at the football game this fall.

    Gotta say, I won a bunch of money picking UCONN to win it last year, so I'll always have a soft spot for the Huskies. Kemba was a hell of a player. So is Lamb.

    UCONN fan here. I'm going to ignore the above quote becuase it's dumb and I want to share something with the good fans here.

    First, and obviously, congratulations. You're team is full of solid players. More importantly however, you clearly have yourselves an excellent coach.

    Players come and go, and in most cases coaches come and go. At UCONN, we were lucky enough to land a great coach about 25 years ago, and he stayed to build a non-factor basketball program into a powerhouse. Most good coaches don't stay at places like UCONN used to be. Unlike Jim Calhoun, they succeed and then move on.

    After watching tonight's game, I think Fred Hoiberg has something special. That, and his connection to your school could give you a succeed and stay program builder like Jim Calhoun. If that's the case, this season could be the start of a really cool journey for you guys.

    Again, congratulations and good luck.
