What If The BCS Ran College Basketball?: The Bowl Match-Ups - Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician

The best part is at the very end.

Cool to look at but I think that if Kentucky and Syracuse both lost their confrence "championship game" they wouldn't be playing for the mythical national title. They'd still find a way to have Alabama meet themselves. No matter the record.

Sweet - ISU made the Alamo Bowl!

I'm fine with it for football. BBall and football are different animals for a variety of reasons and I like the bowl system. The biggest problem in football isn't "the BCS" but the fact that the biased human voters, often the same people ******** about the BCS, get so much sway.

If they limited the title game to conference champions and put more emphasis on the unbiased computer average, that would fix most issues.

In the BCS system, teams that lose their conference championship games are penalized. Yet, in basketball, Kentucky and Syracuse are #1 seeds. Isn't that essentially relying on pollsters?

The problem with that is in basketball, every school gets a chance to be in the conference tournament. Wasn't CU 3rd in the conference before they went on to win the conference tourney? They would have never had a chance to win the conference and therefore would not be in that bowl.

Doesn't the Pac 12 have a conference championship? It looks like Wash and CU would have played the game if there was one because they are in difference divisions and both at the top of their respective division.

That is the only thing I didn't look up. If they are in separate divisions then I suppose I am wrong. It's just different because conferences really don't split up in basketball like they do in football.

Yeah I actually had to look it up too.

My comment was more how a team from the B10 with a lot of respect plays a team from the Pac 12 with very little.

This is going to be good.

Clever approach you always see "what if we had a playoff?" during football season; this is a reversal.
