A CF Conversation: With RB's Coach Ken Pope (part 1)

Football junkies will eat this up. Coach seems very high on Nealy.

I really like the insight into CPR's philosophy on coaching the younger players. Definitely a great plan for sustaining long term success.

Great interview, Chris. I look forward to part II. I hope that you are able to do the same type of interviews with the other position coaches. Thanks again....

Yep. And the more time you spend developing them early, the less time you'll have to spend on a weekly basis during the season, as they'll be smarter players and will get the job done themselves.

I can't believe how positive he was about Nearly! Sounds like he might demand some touches this year! So glad we were able to keep his redshirt on last year......

Nice read. He did kinda dodge the Rob Standard question though--but that just meant more about Nealy!

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.
    (They just disappear offseason)

Don't you mean you're not optimistic we'll ever see him again?

Anyone else think Woody will be a starting FB in the NFL?

He could always redshirt this year if needed.

Pope seems flat out giddy about Nealy. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do this year.

Good to read about Nealy. He only got a couple of carries in the last pre-season scrimmage last fall, but you could see he was our most explosive back and I've been drooling over him ever since. If he can also catch the ball he should have a great career here.

If you expect him to catch the ball, keep your drool off of him.
