    cyclone football

with our redshirts and our new recruits that will be coming to iowa state.where will we stand in the new and improved big 12 next fall....???? i think we will be in the middle of the standings in the big 12 with oklahoma, texas, tcu and west virginia fighting to be in the top four. we will be fighting the rest of the big 12 to end up in fifth or sixth place.. can we make a move to the elite status in the big 12 next fall??

    Re: cyclone football

I think it'll go like this

    1. Oklahoma 8-1
    2. West Virginia 7-2
    3. TCU 5-4
    4. Oklahoma State 5-4
    5. Kansas State 5-4
    6. Texas 5-4
    7. Iowa State 5-4
    8. Baylor 3-6
    9. Texas Tech 2-7
    10. Kansas 0-9

OU and WV at the top, a bunch of teams in the middle of the pack, and Kansas at the bottom.

Call me crazy but I could see Kansas with more wins in conference than Tech. They'll battle for #9 spot and Kansas gets it.

    Re: cyclone football

My bold prediction: Kansas wins a big 12 game next year, but not against us. I agree with thoughts tha WVU will have decent first year success but TCU on the other hand will have a rougher go, just a gut feeling.

    Re: cyclone football

I'm really, really hoping for more consistent and improved play at QB and receivers. I just think that would be so huge for this team as most everything else is in place. I do think the Iowa game is going to be a good barometer for this year, more so than usual anyway.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Didn't Balyor pick up a top 5 RB that transfered form Oregon? I'd be surpirsed if they slip that far. Briles seems to be doing a good job recruiting.

    Stay fundamental my friend.

I think that if we get improved play from the QB's, receivers, offensive tackles and defensive ends, this team step up quite a ways. Is that a lot to expect?

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.

I could see it. I think Tech might be even worse next year. Also, I think Tubbs time is running out in Lubbock.

Yeah, and we once had a 4* RB that transfered from FL. With the injuries that Oregon had last year, you would have thought that Seastrunk could have got some PT at Oregon.
