    St. Patricks Day in Omaha

I want to get out of town next weekend. Where would be the best place to party on St. Patricks day in Omaha and a hotel in walking distance?

The Dubliner downtown is hands down the best place to be in Omaha, IMO. Live music all day, great crowd, right in the Old Market with walking distance to several other bars/restaurants and hotels. One of the other big draws is Clancy's which has three location and shuttles between them. Others off the top of my head are Barrett's on 40th and Leavenworth (great bar food) and Two Fine Irishmen (way out west).

I will be at The Dubliner at about 8 am next Saturday!

Party in the hotel parking lot. Easy access to the hotel.

Re: St. Patricks Day in Omaha

If you dont go out in Omaha often I have some advice for you that others may disagree with. Its been my observation that bars are completely hit and miss in Omaha. The bar you went to last weekend that was packed and fun could be completely dead the following wkend. This normally causes the problem of driving to multiple bars trying to find people and then eventually ending the night in some dive where nobodys at.

For St. Pattys day I would say go to the old market for this reason. I went on that bus ride thing that an above poster spoke about and every bar we went to was completely dead and it was miserable. IF you go to old market, at least you can walk to tons of different bars till you find the people.

I forgot about the tournament being next weekend. I think I'll stay nearby.

Here is the Old Market website with some of the hotels in the area. I forgot about the Tourney too, not sure what the hotel situation downtown will be. The tournament games are at the Century Link center which is like 3-4 blocks north of the Old Market.
