    Concerned about Texas

Is anyone else concerned about Texas?

We play great at home, but we're into the tourney.... Tecas isn't. We have some to play for (a higher seed, respect), Texas has EVERYTHING to play for. (NCAA bid, Barnes seat staying cool, etc.)

When one team has not much to a little to play for and the other team has EVERYTHING to play for, that's concerning. I'm headed to KC on Friday to watch us beat Missouri in the semi final, so I hope I get to.

    Not concerned at all.

If we don't have anything to play for, we should just pack it in this post season and head home. The idea that we have "little" to play for just absurd.

    Re: Concerned about Texas

Desperate teams make me nervous. The fact that Texas is fighting some injuries makes me feel a little better. To me it comes down to how well we defend/how much Chapman can play and how well Allen/Bubu/McGee defend Kabongo. We can't let Chapman eat us alive inside or Kabongo get into the lane too much.

I'm worried about the game because we're a pick'em - that should make everyone nervous.

I'm not. If we lose it's our own damn fault. Unless somebody gets hurt, of course.

We're 1-1 against them. This is going to be a tough game. We "should" win based on talent, experience, etc. But if we don't come ready to play, we could easily lose.

    Re: Concerned about Texas

Im nervous because they absolutely have to win this game to be in the tournament. There young and talented and more than capable of beating us like they already have. That being said, if Babb locks down Brown it'll make life a lot easier, Chapman (minus our first game against them) is pretty worthless IMO plus Wangamen is out, who's going to guard Royce?

    I'm not worried, either.

    1. Iowa State is a better team than Texas this year. Yes, ISU & UT split during the season, but that goes only so far. KSU swept Missouri ó is KSU better than Missouri? No. A win over UT isn't a given; however, Iowa State should win it.

    2. I don't think the result of this game will make any major seeding difference for ISU. (I also think Texas should be in the tournament, regardless, but that's a different argument). Obviously, a win won't hurt. More important: Win and get a shot at Missouri. A win there means another top-25 RPI notch. That could make a difference.

    3. Texas has no chance.

    Re: Concerned about Texas

I'm stealing this line from someone else but Texas has been playing for the tourney lives for awhile now and they ended the season 2-3 with one of those wins being in OT against Tech.

ISU has come out every game ready to go, confidence is at a high, I think the game will be nerve racking for awhile but we'll pull away at the end because Texas won't be able to keep up.

Personally, I think we have more experienced and better players than texas.
