    Imminent Red Coaching Replacement

Start the speculation now since the interim AD whether he be TO or another Nebraskan, he will fire Bill Callahan at end of season so that Bill can vacation back in Oakland with previous players who quit on his system. Whom do you think might get the nod?

    Re: Imminent Red Coaching Replacement

    Osborne been there done that...

    Solich been there done that...

    McCarney.... Keep smoking it...

    Looney... Won't even be mentioned.

The only person on this list will be Polini. But I hope he burns them this time. Eveyone else on this list has the same chance that I do to get that job.

Their DREAM would be Pelini with Turner Gill as offensive co-ordinater. Not much chance but that is their dream hire as I read their boards.

    Re: Imminent Red Coaching Replacement

    14 DEC 07 Press Release:

Interim AD TO may announce, "We have held the search for the best person to coach. We one time chose Frank, but we found he could not recruit. Then we chose Bill as our fifth offer. He could recruit well but he could not coach. WE might have picked Bo but he was too brash and had too much fire. He might have embarrassed us like Bill just did talking about those Okie hillbilly fans. Turner has turned us down because he is doing too well at Buffalo. Frank is still happy in Ohio. Tommie has a plush job. Dan just had a pro offer. Steve Loney is needed back in Minnesota. Jerry said he wants to stay retired. Will wants to join Fox. Gov Johans wants to be senator. I am going to take the easier job as AD so I do not have to worry about losing to Okie State at home. So that leaves us with the last Husker that does not have a job - Johnny Rogers. Here is Johnny."

I believe Pelini will have better offers than NU.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

What does everyone think the possibilities of Chizik would have been had we not scooped him up this year?

None, they would not want a coach from a lesser school.

    Re: Imminent Red Coaching Replacement

Common sense tells me that either Osbourne will be named permanent AD, or another AD will be found prior to hiring a coach. It doesn't make sense to hire a coach first. The selection of AD will make a big difference on narrowing down the coaching list. Maybe a 2 for 1, taking the AD and coach from another school?
