Get ready for a muddy mess on Saturday

Rained a ton over the weekend...especially Saturday night and Sunday. More rain on the forecast for every single day this week.

Perhaps a wet, sloppy slow field will keep the score a little closer Saturday.

Is it wrong that I am more concerned about G-7 being muddy rather than the field?

You guys are going to wish you were not in G7 this weekend.

I'm not sure that will stop them too much unless their bus gets stuck on some dirt road outside of Ames...

And, maybe we could ask for a continuous clock?

A great place to tailgate that you need to get your lazy butt over and see.

I'm guessing you score in G7 about as often as our football team on the field.

I think it is a parking lot somewhere over by hickory park. It also doubles as Kmart overflow parking.

The lots would be perfect for all the wifes to have a friendly bout of mudd wrestling. That might make it worth to walk all the way out there.

That would be good fun...I'm sure we could find a way to make it up there in time for the mud wresting.

But...most likely we'll get up there around 10:30ish.

Somebody should try to plug up the drainage system for the football field. Standing water might be our only chance.

Our team traveled out to Atlantic to play Sunday and there was standing water on the field. What a mess...tons of fumbles. The ball was so wet that one of my best corners dropped 3 interceptions. Finally my safety picked one off to preserve the win.

I'm still not sure why we were playing in that, but the kids did have fun. I imagine our practice field will be looking worse than the field did Sunday. Ugh...

Well, time for fumble drills tonight!
