Already discussed some but 2 big things that really hurt us last night

Iowa State Cyclones vs. Missouri Tigers - Play by Play - February 29, 2012 - ESPN

6:48 remaining in the game and Chris Allen makes a 3. Will be our last points till Ejim hits 2 FTs with 3:53 to go. Iowa State doesn't score again until Scotty makes a 3 with 59 seconds left. A 2:55 and 2:54 scoring drought down the stretch. Meanwhile Mizzou scored 7 points.

4 turnovers from that same 6:48 mark. Only one led to points but that is 4 wasted scoring opportunities.

Positives are 2 offensive rebounds to their 0.

Refs aside, we were in that game and controlling that game but came up short down the stretch.

I think it was a combo of them stepping up their defense tremendously and our shot selection and when we did shoot we missed.

I think you're right. They really d'ed up on our guards and quite frankly we looked frantic at times. A team like Missouri exploits our lack of a true penetrating point. Oh well. We're still a good team and I like our chances to go far in the tourney. Bring on the 8 seed. Go ahead and take care of the 1 seed right away.
