Good Breakfast within walking distance of JTS

Probably won't be tailgating for the ISU - Oklahoma game. I'm not really set up to cook breakfast. We ate at Legends before the TU game and while it was a great view the breakfast was no better than a McDonald's big beakfast. Who has a recommendation for a breakfast spot within walking distance of JTS. We park at my sons place on Stanton if we aren't tailgating. I would cook at his house but the kitchen of four college boys is gross at best.

There is a new place called Angie's Kitchen (I think) that serves only breakfest food that is on Lincoln Way just east of Welch. I have heard you can get a good amount of food for less than $5.

Just walk around the tailgating lots until you find somebody cooking what you're hungry for. Compliment them on their tailgating setup, tell them it smells good and give them poor puppy dog stare until they give you food just to get rid of you.

Audubon's is the restaurant at the Gateway Hotel, easily walking distance to the stadium, has an awesome breakfast buffet, and I'm pretty sure the price is reasonable. Soccer team always has senior day breakfast there.

No matter how bad our team is, I will NEVER stop tailgating. That's a lot of the fun...especially when your team is getting pounded.

Hy-Vee Deli on Lincoln Way. Village Inn on Lincoln Way, and if you are extra invigorated you can mosey over the the Grove Cafe on Main Street. Ames' best breakfast location.

I will second the vote for the Grove cafe. Johnny and Max Urick used to be regulars. (I think they still have the same booths they did back then). Small town feel, and you get to meet the owner

The Beudalaire used to have breakfast, though I doubt it's still there. Huevos Rancheros that will make you sweat at 6 am ROCK!

Doesn't the MU still have breakfast? That's always good.

They're still there. Right around the corner from Welch. And you can head there later for a vicious Long Island Iced Tea...wow.

Be sure not to eat at Bubba Bean's Bittles on 12th St - very explosive and not very lasting. The coffee is real thick and the sausage is experimental for all tasters

An old friend of mine, William Kelley took me there back when I was in Ames. It is a "real" breakfast place. Actual grill out front, etc. Although it is quite a hike from JTS .

same here, it really does seem to ease the pain of a bad team or bad season. Nobody can touch ISU tailgating!

Has anybody ever gone to the NCC tent? Seems like a viable option if someone did not want to set up their own tailgate. I've never done it though.
