    ISU in Big 10

The majority of college basketball analysts tend to agree that the Big Ten is the toughest conference this year. How would Iowa State finish?
I think they would be third or forth behind Michigan State and Ohio State

4th behind MSU, OSU and Mich there is not much difference in the big 12 and big 10. #1 and #2 conf in the country.

I would agree with this. I dont really get the love affair that the media has for the Big 10

Sure, at the beginning of the season. But at this point, I don't get it either

Doesn't this happen about every year? Media talks how good they and so everybody in Big 10 should make tournament, then have a bad tournament as a conf.

    Re: ISU in Big 10

Top to bottom its the Big 12 and Big 10. Almost anybody can beat anybody. Kansas 15-2 25-5
    Missouri 12-4 25-4
    Baylor 12-5 25-5
    Iowa State 11-5 21-8
    Kansas State 9-8 20-9
    Texas 8-8 18-11
    Oklahoma State 7-10 14-16
    Oklahoma 4-12 14-14
    Texas A&M 4-13 13-16
    Texas Tech 1-16 8-21

    Michigan State 13-4 24-6
    Ohio State 11-5 23-6
    Michigan 11-5 21-8
    Wisconsin 11-6 22-8
    Indiana 10-7 23-7
    Purdue 9-7 19-10
    Northwestern 7-9 17-11
    Iowa 7-9 15-14
    Illinois 6-10 17-12
    Minnesota 5-12 17-13
    Nebraska 4-12 12-15
    Penn State 4-12 12-17

Match them up... My predictions at least
    Michigan State vs. Kansas (Kansas)
Ohio State vs. Missouri (Ohio State)
    Michigan vs. Baylor (Baylor)
Wisconisn vs. Iowa State (I have to give the slight edge to Wisconsin)
Indiana vs. Kansas State (Kansas State)
    Purdue vs. Texas (Texas)
    Northwestern vs. Oklahoma State (Northwestern)
Iowa vs. Oklahoma (Have to go with Oklahoma, no disrespect)
    Illinois vs. Texas AM (Illinois)
    Minnesota vs. Tech (Minnesota)

Didn't count Penn State and Nebraska. Those two teams significantly weaken the conference, but even without counting them I still believe it would be 5-5.

You live in Kansas City. Think you dumb ape.

    Re: ISU in Big 10

I think the Big 10 may be the toughest conference this year, top to (almost) bottom, based on its non-conference record. Yet, that non-conference record was only slightly better than the Big 12's by percentage. It will be interesting to see how far the two conferences' teams advance in the tournament.

As far as ISU goes......I'm guessing they would be somewhere in the upper half of the Big 10. Honestly, Michigan and Michigan State have not impressed me that much, and let's face it Wisconsin lost to Iowa twice. I would love to see a rematch of ISU and Michigan now. I have been impressed with most of what I have seen of Ohio State and Indiana, even though Indiana has 7 losses in conference.

Iowa state would be around 6th or 7th. Behind MSU, OSU, Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin. I'd say it would be a toss up between Iowa state and pursue for 6th (maybe slight edge to Iowa state).

I'd like to see how the guys would do against Michigan at this point.

I think we would match up well with Wisconsin. What makes you give them the edge over us?

Iowa swept Wisconsin and Nebby beat IU. I'm not convinced they are all that good. We'll never know, of course.

I feel ISU would beat michigan during conference play. After all, that is when this team has started to gel.

Depends on the scheduling in the Big 10... If ISU had Iowa's schedule in the big 10 Id say they would be about 4th?

    With Michigan States... probably 5th.

    I like this game.

    So if ISU>Iowa>Wisconsin that means Iowa>Wisconsin>Ohio State>Duke

Iowa over Duke!! NCAA's here we come!...checks record...what the hell!!

    Or here's a real mind blower: Iowa>Michigan>ISU>Iowa
