    Tunnel Walk?

I fully admit that I am one of those fans that usually get to their seat about second down after the kickoff but I made it a point to get in there early on Saturday. Did we do a mini version of a "tunnel walk" through the Jake? I apologize if we have always done this but I don't remember it. I liked it or at least the effort to try something different. We really need a great video based entrance to get these fans into it because every week you find bunches of people that have never been to an ISU oops I-State game before and have no idea what to do. It would definitely be nice to intimidate the opponent a little bit before they score eight touchdowns on us. By the way I pledge to get to my damn seat at least thirty minutes before kickoff from this day on and give these guys the support they will need to build this thing into respectability. I say build because we never have done anything(in the last 20 years) in football to rebuild on. Go Gene and Jamie. Go.

P.S. sorry for the rambling, but losing like this makes me realize that I need to cheer more and be a better fan.

    Re: Tunnel Walk?

I noticed that Saturday. I'm always in my seat long before kickoff and that was the first shot I'd seen of a tunnel walk. I liked it.

I've always thought that we should have some sort of highlight reel w/ the radio call behind it. I think I'd like that incorporated into the entrance montage that we have now. It'd be fun to hear Pete's call of Billups' punt return against Pitt, etc.

I did like how they have put some of this year's highlights in the package. I especially liked the shot of Shaggy's FG at the end of it.

Right, but Saturday was the first time that I noticed the tunnel walk that he was talking about. I don't remember seeing the team inside The Jacobsen Building before Saturday.

Cyclone62 is right...they've been showing the complete tunnel walk the whole year.

    Re: Tunnel Walk?

Those of you that have been in the stadium before kickoff and still don't recall seeing a tunnel walk must have been drunk. They've been doing it all year for the home games.

I like it too by the way. The intro for the team with the tunnel walk is actually pretty good IMO.

    Re: Tunnel Walk?

The tunnel walk is good, but the crowd chants mixed with a video on the big screen & loud music just doesn't work. Let's pick 1 thing & go with it... like a really good song to pump everybody up. The chants should be kept for timeouts. It's just so obvious that there is zero tradition with the entrance & that we're trying things...

I have always thought that the chants needed to be dropped entirely. It's terrible. I think it makes us look second rate. Teams that have a tradition and good fan base, like Texas, have to think that it's ridiculous.

Here's another thing to get rid of. The Cenex guy that looks like Jeff Bridges. I think its Cenex. Something like that. Do we really need some guy that looks like the Orkin Man to tell us to get loud?

Ok I was drunk at the Iowa game and UNI and Kent State. You guys are right we need one simple thing that we all can do in unison to start these games. Maybe Pollard has a vision to tie in with the new logo and is saving it for next year. It just felt like something was missing on Saturday before we even started the game. The Iowa game is a different animal altogether because it is always electric for that game. The last time (besides Iowa) I thought we were into it was Colorado two years ago. I think the weather spiked our senses that night.

    Re: Tunnel Walk?

I have noticed the tunnel walk, and that there is no helmet this year and the end with the steam, What was the reason behind taking that away? I personally didn't like the helmet, but didn't know if there was really a reason on why they took it away.

How funny is that thought, Bill Call telling us to get it up in the red zone.
