OK, Seattle is down by 11, 3rd and 10 at about the 12. They run it up the middle for no gain. Instead of going for the FG and getting within a TD and 2 pt conversion, they go for it on 4th down and the pass into the end zone is dropped.
In that situation, you know you're down 2 scores. Get one (almost) sure score in the FG and work on getting the on-side kick, THEN go for the TD.
