We need to stop and marvel at Jake Sullivan's 3 point record

When they said during the game that Scotty passed Hoiberg for 3rd place for 3 pointers made, I thought it was a great accomplishment. Chris brought out in his article that Willoughby was 2nd with 190. I thought Scotty may even have a chance to get first. Holy balls at Jake Sullivan.

270 3 pointers made. I know he played all 4 years but holy crap that is insane. I remember him being a great shooter and even having some great range draining 3s sometimes 4-5 feet back from the line like it was nothing. But 270 3s? Jeez. That could be a record that stands for years.

Sullivan was a stud. Unfortunately, he was a 1 man show towards the end of his career

If you take away Stinson and Blalock, I agree with you.

No he wasn't, sure he could shoot but that was it. He couldnt get his own shot or play a lick of defense.

Jake would barely see the floor if he played on this team. He was too one dimensional. He's a great cyclone... but was very limited in what he could do.

I can still remember him draining a three from the "Iowa State Center" decal on the floor against Kansas that one year.

What a shooter. Though, in fairness, if you add 33% to SC (to makeup for the freshman year at ISU he never had)...

    190 + 190 x .33 = 252.7778

Then he's not far behind, with a few more games to go in his career. Roughly equals?

I guess I forgot he had Stinson and Blalock his senior year. For some reason that team his Junior year was in my mind

Also want to point out that it is still a fantastic accomplishment.

Yeah, I'm sure if Scotty played 4 years he could of made a real run at the record.

Yeah drop Homan, Vroman and Huluska from that team and Id agree with you. Sulivan was surrounded my players well above his talent level each year he was here, but yeah, his junior year was about as close as he came to being the best on the team, although still quite far away
