    Justin Morneau

A friend of mine posted this article on facebook

Justin Morneau: “there comes a point when you can only torture yourself so long” | HardballTalk

Its kind of a sad read. Definitely not looking good for him to continue his baseball career. I'm a big Morneau fan and hope he stays with the Twins for a long time, but I'd rather have him not torture himself by continuing to play.

Wow, very sad. Obviously hope that he heals, but concussions are something that just take time. Dang...

    Re: Justin Morneau

Really feel bad for the guy and the Twins. Morneau had the potential to be one of the best well-rounded power hitters in the game. And then one freak knee to the head while sliding into second and his career is in jeopardy.

    Re: Justin Morneau

Unfortunately the contracts of Morneau and Mauer are sinking the Twins to the bottom of the division. Amazing how quickly they have fallen. Looks like another long season for MN.

    Re: Justin Morneau

Crazy to think it would bring a baseball career to an end. Football, sure. Hope its NOT the end.

Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving.

    Re:Justin Morneau

Justin played hockey in Canada when he was growing up, and I heard he got a couple concussions from playing hockey; and if you have had them before, they tend to get worse if you keep getting them.

    Re: Justin Morneau

I was fortunate enough to throw out the first pitch at a Twins game last summer and part of that was to attend BP on the field. The Twins staff tells you to not talk to the players, ever. But, Justin came up, shook my hand, signed my Morneau jersey and chatted for a bit. He is a real salt-of-the-earth guy and it saddens me that his career will be cut short.

    Re: Justin Morneau

He will definitely be missed. The M&M boys in the 3-4 spots were great for a couple years.

Sweet swing that could have a great player. Sorry to hear this.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

I love how that article merely isolates the worst part of the interview ignoring the fact he claims he's feeling well and is healthy. People are trying too hard to read between the lines imo.

That's great!! If you ever want to write more about that experience I would like to hear about it.
