    Distracted Drivers

Ok, I felt I had to post this.

The other day on my drive home from work I looked at the driver in the car next to me. She wasn't texting, or talking on the phone.

No, she was knitting. She had both hands in her lap holding knitting needles and knitting at a stop light.

    Seriously?

I did see someone holding their IPad in the center of the steering wheel. That one was pretty bad too. I just found it insane that someone would want to knit so badly that they do so while driving home from work.

Has anyone else seen anything this ridiculous before?

I missed the old thread. I guess it's an even bigger epidemic than I thought.

    Re: Distracted Drivers

I was hoping we were talking about the same person here, and that there was not more than one...

Who wants to have needles in their lap while driving? Can't imagine that being very safe in the case of an accident..

I went to college thinking I wanted a career; turns out I just wanted paychecks.

My knitter was in Johnston, nowhere near 380 so I am guessing it's a different person.

    Re: Distracted Drivers

On the general topic of distracted drivers...

Several years ago, I had a friend that actually created a steering wheel mounted book stand so he could study on his way through Dallas traffic to his night school courses.

If she stabs herself can she sue the maker of the knitting needles? I heard you can do that if you spill coffee on yourself while driving.

They must be honing their skills for the 17th Annual Knitting Retreat this weekend at the Gateway Center.

If I was turning women into zombie-anythings, knitters would not be my first choice
