    On-campus parking (visitor)

I have some friends that want to come up and spend the day/night in Ames this Saturday.

Is there anywhere where they can park on campus without having to buy a permit? I see their are pay-by-the-hour machines but I don't know if you can park there after a certain time.

    Any help is appreciative. Thanks.

Is there still a parking ramp in the MU? I used to work there back in the day

Most of the permit parking lots are free saturday, sunday and weekdays after 5:30. Signs are posted in every parking lot letting you know.

Forker or the lot by Design are pretty good size and be able to get a spot pretty easily. When I was in school, I would try to park next Laverne or Music on the weekends because it was close to Friley. Yeah I think the lots are pretty well marked and you just need to check before parking.

If you live in MWL or on that side of campus, they should be able to park in the lot directly north of Maple and south of the Rec Center after 5:30 or so.
