    Re: Jack Elway

That would be huge. Elway had the best throwing arm in football. He took a fair team and made them much better. He had leadership skills. This is exciting.

We already have about 15 QB's committed for the 08 class. I'll be interested to watch a little bit of his game tonight, though.

    FB Recruiting

Overheard a fellow ISU alum talk about this, so I had to do some research - this is all I found so far (it'd be a good "name" to get and a good prospect it sounds like):

    ESPN - College Football Recruiting

Sorry - it's Insider - won't post any part of it. Stupid me... however, it's about Jack Elway, John Elway's son, if anyone has ESPN Insider.

However, nothing has us on his list either:

I hope Chizik recruits 22 QBs. High school quarterbacks are the most athletic guys and they understand how the game is played

True, many teams put their best overall athlete at QB, guys like Austin Flynn, Adam Carper, and even Ben Lamaak played QB their senior year and found different roles while at ISU.

    Jack Elway considering ISU

yes that is right i just saw on espn news that Jack Elway is considering ISU. ELWAY is correct that is the son of former great John Elway. Considering ISU, Stanford, LSU and another school i didn't catch. I'm not sure our chances of getting him but just that he is interested in ISU is great. Great work coaching staff

So that would make him the 4th qb to commit to us in the class of 08? I do not see this happening.

It could happen if he could play and start for four years. But a one year starter at LSU would have better exposure than a 4 year sarter here.

    Re: Jack Elway considering ISU

I saw this scrolling along the bottom on ESPN this morning too. I believe they had him rated as the #24 quarterback, and they had his top 5. I didn't catch all the schools, but ISU was one of them.

A guy like him would bring alot of exposure to us. It would be great.
