All I care about is that we will not run into Kentucky, North Carolina, or Syracuse in the second round.

I still think everyone has Iowa State much higher than they'll be. If we end up 11-7 and win one in the tourney, I don't see why we can't get a 7 seed.

Kentucky scares me of all the number ones projected. They play like baylor with long athletes at many positions. We don't match up well with athletic height.

I don't put much stock into the actual match ups, just the seeds. But we do seem to be projected to play Bama in 1st or 2nd round a lot.

I would rather be 6, 7, 10, or 11 seed so we don't have to play #1 seed until Elite Eight.

I would love to see us in those matchups personally. A lot of potential and a possible showdown with MSU would be interesting.

Re: Updated NCAA Bracketology - 2/15

I think ISU will be a 5-7 seed or a 12 seed. I think they have a real shot of winning out........they match up better with Mizzou than a lot of teams and Hilton will be rocking on March 3rd and they will punch Baylor right in the mouth before they get off the bus.

That is a distinct possibility. Let's say it plays out that way... Here is a list of teams that I think could potentially be #2 seeds in the NCAA Tournament which will for arguments sake also include the most likely #1 seeds just in case one of them drops a bit here prior to March. Kansas, Mizzou, and Baylor will be left out since we won't get matched up against them.

    Kentucky
    Syracuse
    Duke
    Ohio State
    Michigan State
    North Carolina
    Georgetown
    UNLV
    Marquette

Let's assume that whatever needs to happen to either drop some of these teams down to a #2 seed or to raise some of these teams up to a #2 seed happens. Which team do you think Iowa State matches up with the best and why?

UNLV without question, but MSU or North Carolina would be an exciting game to watch.

On the list above I would say Georgetown/Marquette/UNLV
