One positive from last nights game

I didn't read much of the post-game threads, so sorry if this has already been discussed. I was very impressed with the way that Percy Gibson played. For a freshman playing inside against guys like Perry Jones III, he looked pretty damn impressive. As he continues to develop, I think he will become a solid inside presence that will bring some toughness

Make that two positives as Ejim played hard on D, rebounded and also scored. Sometimes it seems he's been on the team forever and it's easy to forget he's just a Soph. He's the Bankhead/Stevie of this team.

Here's hoping we can get several players going at the same time in each game down the stretch.

Percy to me looks like the kind of kid who will dominate after he gets a year in the weight-room on him.

Being at the game in person there were many positives. Our defense was much more solid than the score and stats indicate- BU made some really tough shots. On the offensive end we just missed shots that normally are easily made

Not saying that it was the only positive that I took from the game. It was one that makes me optimistic about the kind of player he can be for us

Ejim had a decent night, he repeatedly let his man get the ball too close to the basket though.

The more I watch Gibson the happier I am he's a Cyclone. For a kid his age and his size he moves well and has good court awareness. He's still pretty raw but he continues to impress. IIRC wasn't he a pretty late addition to last years class?

I've been big on Percy all year. I can tell he has a huge upside.
I was the guy saying he will join the starting lineup next year in place of Ejim. However, Ejim has been bringing it lately. So I am not so sure what the starting lineup will look like next year. One thing is certain though, we are going to have some real nice talent coming off the bench next year. (Mcgee, Ejim/Gibson, Booker, Niang)

I don't mind the lose because obviousley we needed to refocus and Fred will take care of that. We should now be good to go to the end.

Re: One positive from last nights game

Percy has a crazy cool little sweeping hoop scoop shot around the rim. It's kinda unstoppable because it comes outta nowhere. I'll say it again, Fred's doing a great job. It's so refreshing to be relevant again. Last night if I'm not mistaken (and I know I will be corrected if I am) was the first time we've not really challenged for a win. Baylor got us out of sorts and I think really got in our heads. We looked scatter brained most the game. I do think all the little yucking it up by Baylor during that game will mean a victory for us when we meet again. It won't be forgotten.

Our post D is terrible and soft. I liked how Percy played as well, though. Ejim scored a lot, but his defensive side is so frustrating

Biggest positive from last night was that Erik lost all of his credits. It was like when a group of people put their money together for 1 dude to go play the WSOP. Then that dude goes out on the first day with middle pair.

He's a little undersized, so that will happen.
