Anyone know what happened to Gary?

Rhoads said he'd consider more punishment if he were found guilty. Really hope he's cleared. I thought he was our best receiver starting with the OSU game. He's a nice possession option to the burners we have coming off redshirts.

the case is still on, and as of now, there is no plea deal , or charge reduction according to iowa courts online.
still faces a massively serious felony charge.

Iowa Courts Online is currently down, but I'm guessing the legal process is still ongoing.

Unless he's found completely innocent, he had better be facing some more suspension time from Rhoads. Like 4 games, or maybe not allowed back at all?

perhaps the trial can drag out for the next 3 years and not actually be completed until his eligibility is up. wasn't there a conspiracy theory that this happened to an iowa player a few years back. trial was delayed until after the season? not saying it actually happened but i vaguely remember hawk haters claiming this.

Clayborn's legal issue ended up concluding after the season, but ended in a guilty plea I believe.

Not sure if he's waived speedy trial right. That might be indicated on the online docket once the site is back up.

WR might be the most inexperienced returning unit we have. I'm nervous about our passing game. QB still up in the air. Lost most of our WR production. New OC. Losing Gary will be a pretty big deal, IMO, if he gets booted. The B12 is a passing league and we have some holes to fill.

As far as I know Ace & Gary are still both going strong. I'm glad you brought it up, I haven't seen them for a while.

Re:Anyone know what happened to Gary?

I'm gonna respectfully disagree that we lost our WR production. We return Lenz, Horne, Gary, and West. That crew was very consistent and most productive the last 6 1/2 games of the season. I think losing Lenz for that last 2 of JB's starts really hurt his production. But unlike many "inconsistent" people on this blog, I think QB play will be solid. There will be no question about who leads the team into 2012. As far as Albert Gary, unless he's facing a trial, he has to be cleared or released if this accusation. It shouldn't take this long for a final judgement on this unless he's being sued or facing harsher charges. If that's the case, then it will affect our passing game because of chemistry. So, we need this cleared up before spring ball so others can get his reps and chemistry can be built with others because he's clearly a target for JB.

Pretty sure he's up for a felony charge. It's going to take time and we may not get him back.

I know your a JB fan, and that's great, but QB is our BIGGEST question mark on the team right now IMO. With a halfway decent performance from the QB position in our bowl game, we win easily.

I haven't seen good enough passing from anyone yet to think we're in good shape at QB. If we can't throw the ball, we're toast. Rutgers proved that. They put 8-9 guys in the box and dared us to throw because they knew we couldn't. That will be the recipe for all of our opponents unless we can throw the ball consistently.

We will need to see some drastic improvement in the passing abilities of JB or Jantz... or else I think Sam Richardson might pass them both. Should make for a great competition.
