what ever happened to eric mcknight

why did he leave and where did he go?

with the exception of melvin that class could be a complete bust. jordan railey still has a chance but he hasn't shown much to this point.

that's an "ouch" of a recruiting class as a team could possible have.

Who cares if the class is a bust or not.... we're winning at the moment and that is all I care about.

    Florida Gulf Coast University

The Florida Gulf Coast University men’s basketball team added some depth and size to its frontcourt on Monday, landing 6-foot-9 Iowa State transfer Eric McKnight. He will have to sit out the 2011-12 season due to NCAA four-year transfer rules, but will have three years of eligibility.

Crazy part is, he had some really nice offers out of highschool. Just goes to show, you never know how someone's game will translate to the major D1 level.

well, imagine if railey was contributing minutes, points, rebounds etc. like ejim is. we would likely be winning more. i guess that is a reason to care.

Depends on if you count Babb, Allen, White, Booker in that class. They committed in the same offseason as most of those guys, and were most definitely recruited by the staff. Shouldn't they count, too? And if they don't count in that class, which recruiting class do they count in?

I don't see Railey ever really contributing more then the way he is now.

One way to look at it is there are more scholarships available for the 2012, 2013 and 2014 classes. Not to mention, would we have had room for Lucious and Clyburn if all of these guys would have stuck?

I know this has been talked about before, so some of you will have to forgive me for bringing it up again but I have to. This post is completely mis-guided. THEYORK - You do realize that of the 23 players Greg McDermott recruited and signed to ISU in his 4 years (the 06, 07, 08 and 09 classes) 16 of those or 70% transferred, quit or were kicked. The 16 DOES NOT include Brackins (pro), Gilstrap (one yr eligibility) or walk-ons that left.

    Here they are:

    Dodie Dunson – transferred
    Cory Johnson – transferred
    Wesley Johnson – transferred
Mike Taylor – kicked off team
Corey McIntosh – JUCO played one year, transferred
    Marcus Brister – left ISU
Lucca Staiger – left ISU mid-season
    Clayton Vette – transferred
    Dominique Buckley – transferred
    Wes Eikmeier – transferred
    Clinton Mann – transferred
    L.A. Pomlee– kicked off team.
    Justin Hamilton – transferred

    Chris Colvin - transferred
Laron Dendy - quit / transferred
    Antwon Oliver – transferred

Given the way G-Mac left the program. I am willing to forgive Fred for a few defections from that first class put together in such a short period of time.
