The sad thing about Iowa and ISU this season

The worst part of our poor years is that next year, Iowa will once again be over-confident coming into the ISU-Iowa game and expect to romp us. Even though they will have no reason to think that....

It never fails every single year.

That wouldn't change if we were undefeated and they were 2-4. That is how it will be until they realize that they are not that good - are not challenging for the Big 11 and not in the hunt for a decent bowl.

A 1 maybe 2 win Big 11 campaign will deflate the ego some. The realistic Iowa fans are very much aware of the state of affairs in Iowa City and they know it is not good. Tate said it best in the paper today. He implied at every corner what Ferentz said last year. The current players are fat cats that somewhere along the way began to think that simply being at Iowa and suiting up means victories.

I'll be an underdog to that mentality every year and take a victory from them.
