    Better than going this way:

Cops: Dad Kills Tennessee Couple For Deleting Daughter On Facebook CBS Charlotte

Obviously the opposite situation ("defending" daughter) but shows how ridiculous the Facebook world can get.

Re: Dad owns his daughter for being disrespectful

Anybody remember the YouTube video a couple months ago of the father - I think from Arkansas, a County Judge, who was caught on his daughter's video cam, whopping her relentlessly with a belt?

What ever happened? Did they suspend him from his job? Was he ever prosecuted ?

So... an immature post on facebook means the correct response is a rather immature response like this?

Seems rather stupid on his part to me.

So what should he have done? Because apparently "reasonable" didn't work 3 months ago.

Now I probably wouldn't have put bullets in the laptop, but if that were my daughter she certainly wouldn't be owning it after that incident, especially when she has 10 minutes of chores to do in a day and is such an ingrate that she thinks 10 minutes out of her day is "slavery". Sounds like this girl has been given everything she wants in life and can't be bothered to pitch in around the house, much less work for anything in her life. Better her to learn respect and responsibility and learn that the world in fact doesn't revolve around her now before that ****-poor attitude really gets her into trouble down the road.

That seemed a little over the top to destroy the laptop. I think it would have been better to sell it and get some money from it.

He is from Texas and what he did was perfectly legal in the state of Texas.

Who cares? She's in high school, owns her own laptop that her dad spent even more money and time on the previous day to make better for his daughter, and she responds with a message like that. Not to mention, it would appear she's got a pretty good life.

Kids do chores. High schoolers still do chores. That's how it is. If you think you get to skate through life just because you're a pissy teenager, you're in for a rude awakening. This world needs more dads like that. I imagine my dad would have done something similar if I would have been an ungrateful little *****.
