Iowa State ranked 11th for a Covariance Ranking

Covariance Rankings (2005-11) - Football Study Hall

Basically what that means is that we play our best games against the best competition.

44 in Rhoads first year. 79 in second year. 117 last year. The higher the rank, the better.

Just like he said - plays best against the best competition (when it's really important to).

You can spend a lot of time and money picking out the perfect floral bouquet for your date ... but you're probably better off checking if you have bad breath and taking the porn out of the glove compartment.

The moral: you gain more by not being stupid, than you do by being smart. Smart gets neutralized by other smart people. Stupid does not.

Yep. Hopefully the blowout days are over. And with a guy that is as emotion driven as Rhoads, it is no surprise that Iowa State steps up for big games. The next step is being just as up for playing KU as we are for number 2 OSU on a Friday night.
