They have Tommy Tuberville. He coached in the SEC.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

    Texas Tech - 5 recruits @ 4*

    Iowa State - 0 recruits @ 4*

    That's your answer.

    ----
Nice to see they have TCU and WVU instead of A&M and MU.

    Re: Big 12 Power Rankings...

2012 Iowa State will be better than Kansas, Texas Tech & Baylor. We will be very close with kansas state and TCU.

West Virginia is a wild card. They could be a top 10 team

If we can finally get KSt at the Jack I think they will be our upset this year.

    .
How many 4* recruits did Tech have on the field each of the last 2 years?

If we play like we are capable of, I don't think a KSU would be much of an upset. We were not far off from beating them @ KSU this year.

I really want to take it to KSU though and I want to knock Baylor down a peg or three.

We'll start getting respect when we can win more than 6 games during the regular season.

Thanks. I hope we can put it together. We were very mercurial last season.

How do you think the Pokes will look without Weeden/Blackmon? They should still have a good offense but that has to affect them.

My question to these recruits is...why??? My guess is that Tuberville is a short-timer there, and damn, Lubbock is such a depressing hell hole. It's like the good lord took a dump and made sure that nothing worthwhile ever come within 250 miles of it.

    Re: Big 12 Power Rankings...

I think it's funny that people always say, "Don't underestimate Paul Rhoads and Iowa State," yet they continue to put us at 9th in the conference. I seriously think people need to start considering "The Paul Rhoads Factor" in rankings like this.

Losing Blackmon and Weeden will definitely be an issue. Everything hinges on how well the replacement at QB plays. We have plenty of receivers that have the ability to pick up the slack and there are in fact a couple guys that could be the next Blackmon, Bryant, Woods, Bowman for us. We lose three offensive lineman as well, but replacing them is a non-issue when you have the best (or one of the best) o-line coaches in the nation. I believe we will see more of the running game next year as well. Hopefully not the running game we saw in Ames. That was pitiful.

The defense will be improved. We return 8 starters. It's success hinges on replacing Blatnick and Richetti, our defensive ends.

I think you're underestimating the loss of the o-linemen. I'll grant that the coach is probably as good as they come, but you don't graduate 3 guys from an offensive line without batting an eye. That was one hell of an offensive line, and it was really the secret to that offense's success.
