Why haven't we retired Tinsley's and Fizer's numbers?

This has been bugging me for quite awhile. Hoiberg's number was retired almost as soon as he graduated. Why not Fizer and Tinsley?

Also, are they even in the Hall of Fame yet (Not basketball, but along with Darren Davis)?

    They need to graduate first.

Ya my guess would be 4 years or graduation is a requirement.

I think it's a valid question. Nice post. Is really a rule on graduating? Does seminary graduation count for Rev. Marcus Fizer?

If it isn't a rule - it should be that they must play out their eligibility and graduate.

Because they were "flash in the pan" players?

While this fan base is extremely eager to celebrate success, we should be mindful on the magnitude of the contribution to the success of the program and University

Fizer is a "flash in the pan?" To me those are more than a "Flash in the Pan Numbers." Should he have stuck around for 4 years, more than likely. But my goodness, he is top 5 players all time in this program, no doubt about it.

“They're very, very hard to guard,” Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey said. “They're really good. And with Niang in the middle kind of wheeling and all those guys spreading you out, they're kind of a nightmare matchup. And they're men. They're really men.”

Fizer leaving was a good idea. He was as ready as he was going to be and was a very early pick.

It's a good question, everyone is a little touchy this morning. I wonder how much of it has to do with their off the court problems in the NBA.
