Ummm how about the Big Twelve Tourney? how many wins there?
Assuming we finish 4th in the conf. (where we are now) we will have a first round bye as #7 plays #10 and #8 plays #9. Then we would play #5 (currently K-State) in the first round with the winner advancing to play #1 (currently KU) in the tourney semis. I would love to play Kansas again in KC on Friday with the winner getting a shot at MU or BU for the tourney title. I would love to play MU, for the last time, in Kansas City in the Big 12 tourney championship game, especially if they are the only team that goes 2-0 against us in the regular season. Every Big 12 fan would be on our side.
I think a safe pick is 1-1 in the conference tourney. So I would say that my pick for our record going into Selection Sunday is 23-10. Damn solid record.
I don't think that's Kool-Aid. I think that's going to be the Vegas picks.
Baylor at Hilton is probably a push.
"Kool aid" would be 24-7, with our only loss a close OT stinger at Baylor or Mizzou. The next 5 games are mostly ones we should win (except @ BU), so they will be a major test of character. If we win more than 3 of them, we're golden. If we win less than three.......Uh Oh. If we win 3 and lose 2? We're going to have to squeak out a win @ KSU or against BU @ Hilton to finish with 22 wins and be a theoretical "lock" for tourney time.
