They are coached by Lon Kruger - all you need to know. He will get maximum effort from any team he coaches.

    Re: OU???? Need info

Pledger is a 6'4 221 pound guard that dropped 38 on us in Hilton last year. Guy is a all conference talent.

Fitzgerald is a 6'8 250 pound physical post player who is pretty good.

Romero Osby is a 6'8 transfer from Miss St. who is averaging over 10 ppg.

Calvin Newell is a pretty good shooter, but Im not sure if he is with the progrma or not. Might have transfered or quit

They seem very legit the 3 times Ive watched them (granted it is only 3 times). I wouldnt be shocked to go 0-2 vs them this year or 2-0. Should make for some toss up games.

It would easily be our best road win of the season.

    Re: OU???? Need info

very athletic, Clark, Osby, Fitzgerald, Pledger are all top talents. Pledger is a big time scorer. I think they have a hard time with Royce though. They have struggled to score at times this year, so we need to not let them have easy transition baskets or second chance points and just play good solid defense in half court. I'm worried about guarding Cameron Clark for some reason. If Babb is on Pledger, and Ejim on either Osby or Fitz, that will leave Scottie on Clark, which is a problem, Allen could be on CLark and leave Scottie on Grooms I guess.

We need this win big time, right now we have ZERO road wins over a top100 team, so we need to add this to our resume.

Looks like Bubu is our most proficient scorer on fg attempts...by a factor of two.

SC just needs to go and play stronger on defense. He needs to look more aggressive. The first half blowbys last game put us in a hole. He needs to show more movement with his upper body. When he became tougher at end of the game, our defense improved.

Re: Bubu, you mean in the "Pts / FGA"? That is largely due to him getting to the free throw line. But it is also indicative of a pretty good shot selection.

Looking at that, it seems like OU is not deep past their starting lineup really at all. Hopefully we can play a fast paced game and wear them down!

Yeah, Bubu has 29 FG attempts and 55 free throws on the year. That's an amazing number.

    Re: OU???? Need info

Watched the OU-KU highlights against Kansas. Looked like their other players did not help out much on defense and they were slow on getting back against Kansas. Maybe the fast break threes will be available for us.

They are 0-4 when Pledger is held under 14 points (including two Big 12 games).
They are 8-0 when Pledger scores 18 or more (happened in two Big 12 games).

    Do work, Babb.

Correct. All of their starters play 25 mpg or more.

There really only use 3 bench player for much of the game, and they combine to score less than 10 points.

They do have a lot of interior depth to throw at the floor though, although most of it is in the 6'7" range.

They start Fitzgerald (6'8") and Osby (6'8") inside, and then Washington (6'7") and Neal (6'7") are two of the first ones off the bench.

Then they have some beef that plays less than 10 minutes a game in Arent (6'10") and Honore (6'7" 265#)

So I wouldn't be surprised if they play physical with White inside to try to keep him from getting easy buckets and earn it at the line.

Interesting. I don't doubt for a second that Babb can't hold Pledger way below his average. Hopefully the blister on his foot/toe isnt going to be a problem.
