    Re: seven victories

Just get rid of bowls like the Kraft Fight Hunger bowl.

Less bowls = less teams in bowls = 6 win teams staying home

    Easy game.

I don't get the less bowls is better theory. The teams that will be hurt by this are the Iowa States of the world not the Bowling Greens. People act like they have to watch these lesser bowl games. I guess I'd rather watch Wyoming play Western Michigan than the Pro Bowlers Association.

I agree. And to add to that, every other Pro sport allows teams with .500 records the opportunity to play in the post season. It's a brutal season and I don't see any problem with rewarding a .500 record.

Exactly, in the 7 win scenario, you reward the cupcake schedules. On most days, I'd say ISU would probably beat the Mac champion, but it's much easier for them to get to 7 wins than Iowa State. The Bowls are there because they know people will come to them. It isn't school money that pays for them, corporate America isn't going away. So it definitely hurts the ISUs of the world.

I don't understand the hate either. Don't watch it. I don't constantly ***** about how much I hate the NBA and say I want to force them to shorten their season and have less post season play. I just choose to not watch it.

    Re: seven victories

Pro leagues allow teams with sub .500 records to participate in the post season, as does the NCAA MBB tournament.

CFB only does it in rare occruances, like UCLA this season (I still don't think they should have got a bowl bid).
