Hey, a lot of the money in these bills comes up here (Alaska). Pork barrel projects sometimes smell good if they are coming to your area. lol

Oh brother, here we go again. He might be feeding something, but if this is a serious statement by you, then your doing something from the other end after the feeding is done....

And I actually agree with this, but Bush's ideas of pork do not necessarily align with mine. ;)

Bush states that he has the votes to sustain vetoes.

    Re: GWB Proposed Cuts

It would have been nice if he'd had the same views on fiscal conservatism when the "Cut taxes and spend" Republicans were running the show (and increasing non-discretionary spending by near-record amounts).

Has he decided to be a fiscal conservative and put the war spending in the budget? No.

Because he's not really being a fiscal conservative, he's just being a bully and threatening to veto anything the Democrats pass merely because they are Democrats.

    Re: GWB Proposed Cuts

Bridge was a pet project of Republican Ted Stephens. Rainforest was Grassley's brainstorm. So much for GOP conservatism.

Interesting that GW Bush wants cuts in programs for people. But he is ALL FOR spending giveaways for Corporate Welfare.

Since we are all interested in cutting the Pork, let's eliminate Economic Development Grants and let TRUE Capitalism result.
