Good for him. Honestly Arizona is a tough one to pass on. Does he play baseball as well? Probably makes sense.

Story on espn.com says he quit baseball 6 years ago and is just focusing on his football career. I agree good for him, but sure would of been huge if he came to ISU.

Ah. Figured that would have influenced him a bit, but I guess not. Arizona is warm, tough call. =)

So Rich Rod can recruit. Is this a new development?

Let's no get too worked up over these guys not coming to ISU. Was anybody "overly excited" on boards that we got knott and Klein? I don't remember it being that way and look how they turned out.

Like people said, we used to not even be mentioned as considered for the big names. We have made the next step and with more improvement will have our choice with guys.

I wonder if we backed off on him for someone else? Just after his Arizona State visit he was quoted that we would visit Iowa State the next weekend, but then that never materialized last week.

This and the fact that WR position is pretty deep right now. I wouldn't be opposed to signing another receiver, but I highly doubt it is a priority right now.

Re: Trey Griffey commits to Arizona

I blame the people saying his dad should pay for the south endzone

ďI told you, I donít care if youíre black or white. I donít care if youíre rich or poor. I donít care where you come from, whether itís Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I donít care about any of thatÖ But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads
