    Best running shoe for walking

Alright, I am looking for a comfortable shoe that will not rip out in 6mos. I am on my feet all day, so it really has to be comfortable. I am looking for something under $60.00. I have tried several different shoes, and they are all about the same as comfort.

Good luck finding something for <$60. I've got some pretty nice shoes that I use for running (Brooks), but they're above the price range that you've set. From what I've read and heard in talking to runners, you pretty much get what you pay for in running shoes.

if all feel like the same comfort, try different inserts. I always put new ones in my daily work shoes and boots.

You can get some pretty good running shoes at a good price if you look. I just bought some Brooks Glycerin 8 shoes ($130 retail) for $45 from Runningwearhouse.com. They were on sale for $53 and I got 15% more off with a coupon from Facebook. Shipping was free.

Getting good running shoes for under $60 is definitely possible if you are willing to look around and accept an older model.

Re: Best running shoe for walking

If you're not actually running, do you need running shoes? I've pretty much stuck with New Balance since college. I think they're comfortable for being on your feet all day and they don't break down too fast even underneath up my lard butt. If you really just need something to work or walk around in, I've had good luck with my Red Wings. They do offer some lower price, dressier looking, non-steel toe options though it will be hard to get a pair for close to $60.

You can spend a lot of time and money picking out the perfect floral bouquet for your date ... but you're probably better off checking if you have bad breath and taking the porn out of the glove compartment.

The moral: you gain more by not being stupid, than you do by being smart. Smart gets neutralized by other smart people. Stupid does not.
