4. Iowa State: Success in its next three games (at Texas and at home against Kansas and K-State) would go a long way toward improving the NCAA tournament hopes of a Cyclones team that is 14-5 overall and 4-2 in league play. Juco transfer Tyrus McGee had six 3-pointers in a 20-point effort in Saturday’s win at Texas Tech.
I am more worried about the Texas game than the other two.
If I had to pick I'd say we go 2-1, beating KU and KSU on our court, but losing at Texas.
I would take that in a microsecond.
Only hesitation I'd have is that Texas game comes first in that trio. I guess I'd prefer missing a chance at a sweep, then knocking off KU & KSU in succession, instead of winning at Texas, getting hopes up, and falling to Kansas — again.
I would much rather beat KU and KSU, except for that Texas is on the road so that'd be huge. I love the bball optimism tho and our team has certainly earned it. I haven't heard anyone hardly mention the idea of 1-2 or 0-3 in those games. Its been all 2-1 or we could possibly pull off the sweep! Go Get It Clones! Thug Life!
