    RIM finally removes CEOs

    RIM named Thorsten Heins, previously the company’s chief operating officer, as the company’s new CEO. Though Balsillie and Lazaridis will step down as CEOs, they will remain on the board though both have relinquished their co-chairman roles and Barbara Stymiest has been named chairperson of the board.*

    Perhaps Balsillie should have been more concerned about improving BlackBerry and less concerned about trying to move the Nashville Predators to the London/Hamilton/Kitchener Ontario area...

    Sad deal really. RIM really has no play. There really isnt a good market value for the company now as they dont hold anything Google needs and they are in such a hole that it will be very hard to come back

    When the Federal government finally ends their contractual obligation with BlackBerry, that will be the nail in the coffin (and it should have happened long ago).
