    Ames Hotels

We are looking for a good place in Ames to have a birthday party in March for my son. Does anyone know of a good hotel in Ames that would have a suite or party room that would be able to have room for 5 kids and 8 adults?

Not everyone would be staying at the hotel, just coming for the party. Thanks!

Hilton Garden Inn is right next to Perfect Games depending on age level. I'm also fairly certain they have meeting rooms and stuff.

We're going out to Hickory Park (8 year old loves that place!) and then getting together to open presents/cake/etc., so we wouldn't need a place like Perfect Game.

Also, it's mostly younger kids, <5.

We like the Best Western University Inn. They have good rooms, and a separate party area in the lobby area. We tailgate there on rainy days, and great place to party or visit. Check it out, rooms are nice.

Quality Inn & Suites Starlite Village Conference Center

Quality Inns and Suites - 13th st

It has a pool area with a lot of seating that you can have a party. The pool is 2 and half feet to 3 foot deep perfect for kids.

Hilton Garden Inn is a nice place to stay. Use a certain travel website that Captain Kirk shills for and you can get a room for a great price. It's where I stay when in Ames.

There is a hotel that has old Chicago for its restaurant. Stayed there during a wedding, had get together rooms and some basic suites. Positive is it is walking distancing to HP. Even with young kids. Name is failing me, but call old Chicago and ask.

We also like the Grandstay. You can get a room that has multiple bedrooms, which may be ideal for multiple kids.
