We're incredibly fortunate to steal him away from North Dakota State.

    Don't say that name.

You know what happens when you mention that school right?

    Pond Buffalo?

"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr

    Cue lakesbison is 3, 2, 1

Glad he's coming, but what's with all the double consonants in his dad's name? Did the typewriter stick when they were filling out the birth certicate?

With multiple schools to choose from, Dyersville Beckman running back Derek Hammann has chosen Iowa State.
His father and Trailblazers coach, Gregg Hammann, informed the TH of Derek's choice by email Thursday night .

No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine.

Yeah, and we must have spelled his name wrong. It has to be Derrekk, right?

    Re: Derek Hammann...

This would be good as a walk on. I believe Iowa offered him a preferred walk-on opportunity, so ISU getting him for the same deal would be great.

Keep in mind that this is the NDS squad that just won the FCS Championship and we're getting him as a walk-on (most likely). That's pretty big, IMO.

    Re: Derek Hammann...

    Really quick, pretty good speed.

Great get as a walk on IMO.

Could help us in the secondary, slot receiver (Lenz anyone?) and on specials.
