For all the "The Office" fans

I think this season is pretty good without him. Thoughts?

It is no where near as good as it was a few years ago when Michael Scott was in his prime. This season is a little better than the last 2 though, but it doesn't match the early years.

Some of the stuff he did was annoying. I didn't think he was really that funny to begin with. I thought the best part of the show was the Dwight/Jim conflicts.

Michael was annoying, but in a cute, funny way. Robert California is terrible. They need to cut their losses with him and just set him free. If anything, put him in a role like the old Dunder Mifflin COO had, where he was only in once ever 5-ish episodes, if that. Erin is also starting to be a little overly awkward. And lastly, WHAT THE **** was THAT tonight when Gabe, Ryan, and California stripped down?!?!? I'd have done EXACTLY what Jim did!

Just admit it no2, you were turned on by that scene, but you're in denial.

Re: For all the "The Office" fans

There have been some really funny moments this year but overall I think it has been just OK. As good as you could expect after losing their best cast member.

I like James Spader but I hate his character on the show. I could have done without the whole Robert California thing. Just make Andy the boss and move on without Michael.

Re: For all the "The Office" fans

The show is still OK but it's not nearly as good without Michael Scott. This season started painfully slow but has rebounded a bit IMO.

They should have gone into the season with the intentions of it being the last.

Re: For all the "The Office" fans

In no way does this season even come close to the previous ones. I'd say it has steadily gone downhill since season 6. Thing about the show is, the seasons may be steadily getting worse, but you can always find great episodes every once in awhile.

Ideally, the show probably should have concluded with Jim and Pam's wedding somehow. Like working the entire series (maybe 6-7 seasons long) up to their wedding as a long 2 part series finale. That being said, I love this show, and would have hated to (and will hate to) see it end when it does.

Re: For all the "The Office" fans

I dont miss michael scott. They seemed to get to a point where they thought awkward=funny. He had gone from funny dumb boss to obnoxiously unbelievably dumb boss... which isnt as funny.

I dont really like Andy as the boss, and they've really misused Spader in the Robert California role.

This show really ran out of gas when Pam\Jim got married. They were a driving element to the show, and its sort of had no direction since then.

Dont expect it to end soon though. Its the best show NBC has ratings-wise, which isnt saying a whole lot.
