Game might be a turning point for team..

Learning to close a game out is something a team learns together. This might be huge for the rest of the season. Other thoughts?

We can only hope. It shouldn't have been this close, but it is a great experience for the team. Teaches them that they can't expect any gimmie's in Big 12 play and helps them learn how to win the close ones.

We will find out when we play @ TTech.

I agree. That one shot should give the players a lot of momentum headed through the next few weeks.

Reminds me of the UNI game in football. You felt like if we found a way to win that game we'd be OK and if we lost to UNI it was probably all over. Same thoughts were in my mind watching this game late.

This game would have ended in a loss any of the last 5 years. Good to win the close ones.

Hope you're right. This is something that can be built on and not only can we learn from it, we get to learn from a close game and pick up the W at the same time.

i doubt it. It just teaches them that they can give a bad effort and still win. just didn't see sustained effort defensively. they keep it exciting tho.

Well....based on the number of these threads we've had this season, I believe the team has turned 4320 degrees. Hope they're going in the right direction now!

People tried to compare the Missouri game to Texas in football. I'll compare tonight to A&M in football. Even though that was a loss, you came away with the feeling that the season could be saved. Tyrus and Scotty saved the season, for now, tonight.

Tournament teams play good defense, we right now do okay at times. We have to play better defense and have killer instinct if that does not happen then no we will not make the tourney.
