Can't stream at work. Did KJ get a question about the long-term status of Weatherman, Gadsen, and Spangler? Those three don't wrestle again, and my whole view of the team going forward shifts dramatically.

Weatherman may be back sometime in the next month.
Gadsen had surgery recently, 6 month recovery, going to give him a year.
Spangler is taking the concussion test today.
Ward may get back this year.
    Simonson is done.
T Voelker may get some action this year.
Max Mayfield expected to be back around Feb 1

Pretty encouraging all around. I knew Spangler would be trying to come back this year, and I think we need him. England has good long term upside, but I think he may acutally be wrestling worse since he got the job. This may be due to the lack of work in the room without Spangler, although I think Reader would help there.

Also, good to hear about Weatherman. He is still our best option at 149. People are giving it to Mayfield, but I am guessing he had his shot to win this weight before the season and Weatherman beat him. Want the best guy we have there.

Also, does anyone know if this is the first time Gadsen has had surgery on that shoulder? I know he has had issues with it. If this is his first surgery I feel better about the long term prospects for his recovery.

Can you clarify statement on ward? Do you mean med redshirt or be back later this year. Im guessing redshirt, but wasn't sure. When you look at that list, and it doesn't include guys who are now back, it explains a lot of this year. There are possibly 5-6 starters at the beginning of the year if they were healthy.

    Re: Ask the Coach

Ward coming back this year, no Med RS talk at this time, already used regular redshirt. Only thing confusing, is the talk was competing against Boaz not 197.

Mayfield and Weatherman never tried out, it was Goettl and Mayfield at 141 and Mayfield won. And it was Weatherman and Cozart at 149 and Weatherman won.

Now, I'm not sure if it will be Weatherman and Mayfield at 149, or if one goes to 157 and tries out against Moreno. Got to think its for 149.

Gadsen shoulder surgery is on the one he injured in high school. I think he has had both shoulders done at least once and this current one twice.

    Re: Ask the Coach

I am also confused by Jackson talking about Ward at 184. Him being at 197 if he can come back seems like a no brainer.

I don't believe Ward will be back in the lineup.
He may be wanting a backup for Beard as he is injured quite a bit. KJ has listed/stated Ward at 184 all year.
