    Wireless help

I was having some issues earlier with mediacom. I finally got the modem to work but now I can't get my router to work correctly. The items that are hard-wired off the router are working fine. Iv'e tried to power both the router and the modem off multiple times. I've tried to connect wireless through multiple laptops but still nothing. Any ideas?

    Cisco E2000
I haven't made any changes to the router and it worked fine this morning.

    Re: Wireless help

Are they not connecting to the router? or not finding the router? or connecting but not getting internet access?

    Re: Wireless help

Do you have an encryption? and does it prompt you for a password?
You could try removing the stored wireless connection from your computer...

    Yes and yes.

    I'll give it a shot.

    Re: Wireless help

I'm wondering if I screwed up some IP address thing when I was restarting everything?

    Re: Wireless help

If you go to one of the hard-wired computers and log into the router, you can check to see if the wireless encryption is still the same as you set it. And check to see if additional settings (like DHCP) are how you had them.

    Re: Wireless help

I messed with the DHCP settings and that seemed to fix it. I had my laptop setup with a reserved IP (don't remember why).
