Who did the best on Saturday?

    Who played better?

Clones losing 42-17 on High Plains? on the radio

Big Red losing 41-5 losing on ABC?

Hawks losing 27-7 at Happy Valley on ABC?

Clones held their opponent under 500 yards. Still made mistakes.
Red looked outmanned, out raced, outhustled.
    Hawks looked depleted, no fire.

My thought is Clones looked best. We also may keep improving more than the other two teams.

    UNI is rated #3......

    What do you think?

Re: Who did the best on Saturday?

I think they all looked bad. NE, well they are just badly coached. They have way better players than ISU.

The Hawks need to stopping making the ISU game their whole season; they have not looked near as good since loosing at Ames.

The Clones are just not very good. I was really disappointed in the play of the offense. I know the raiders would score lots of points, but the offense sounded like they were sleeping most of the game.

Re: Who did the best on Saturday?

While the Cyclones lost to Texas Tech you could still see (or hear via radio) improvement overall. Considering with what he has to work with, Coach Chizik and his staff are doing a good job moving in the right direction.

The Hawkeyes are a train wreck and I am loving it. I always used to hear the Hawkeye puke-fans I work with tell me how kids flock to Iowa City so they can be developed into world class O-linemen like Gallery or Steinbach. I don't see too many of those world class linemen. Where are they?

Nebraska got what they deserved at the hands of Missouri. It was refreshing to see.

    For next week-

If ISU keeps the turnovers to a minimum, they have a chance against a smoke-and-mirrors Texas team.

Illinois is going to do to Iowa what Danny Bonaduce did to Johnny Fairplay.

    Nebraska plays Ok State. Yawn.

Iowa has a patsy schedule at the end of the season, and I think will still get their 6 wins. So before anyone jumps off the deep end, better think twice. Even with a weak six wins, they will probably get a decent bowl. Not fair, but the way it is.

I am not going to say there is no way the Hawks are going to make 6 wins, but they are really looking terrible right now. MN and NW are not very good but they are probably decent passing teams, which will be hard for Iowa to defend. Western MI I don't know anything about, but Purdue, IL are clearly better than Iowa, and MSU has show some signs of life. Right now Iowa looks like the worst team in the Big 10.

This is kind of a reverse barrel of boogers/ fifty foot razorblade question. It can't be answered correctly.

I live in Minnesota. They are in disarray and a terrible team. Their Coach Brewster is a complete blowhard. Has the players chant "Rose Bowl" after evey practice. Has roses delivered to his office everyday, and has real turf from the Rose Bowl in his office under a light. He is a lunatic, and poor coach. That should be a W for Iowa. West. MI should be a win, and Northwestern is not very good.

The problem with Northwestern is that their offense will at least score 20. Anyone think Iowa can match that?

So between Gene, Brewtyer, Kragthorpe, Kelley, Loney, and Harbaugh, Loney is having the best year as a first year coach.
