    Anthony Booker

OK. 13 minutes tonight. Am I the only one that thinks Anthony is an NBA player? He HAS to play more -all he does is produce when he's in there. We have guys playing 34 minutes that we cringe when they touch the ball. All Anthony does is produce on both ends of the floor. 2 blocks officially tonight, but a few other altered shots -AND he's our best 3 point shooter.

What gives? Can we hope to see more like 25-30 minutes from him ASAP?

I wouldn't go as far to say he's our best three point shooter... I mean, opponents generally have given him that shot this far... But I agree he needs more time.

An NBA player? He's a fringe D-leaguer. He gave up an easy dunk and missed one himself. He's suspect on D, so I suppose he fits the league's requirements there. But no, there's a reason he only played 13 minutes.

He's definitely our highest ceiling player defensively. We were getting owned inside defensively whenever he was out of the game.

He was playing well in the first half. Did he get taken out after the missed dunk?

    Re: Anthony Booker

In the 1st half, at least, he was the ONLY guy protecting the rim. I'm just saying, 6'9, great stroke, plays hard, he's in the NBA's range for potential. I'd love to see what he would put up in 30 minutes. If you extrapolate his stats they look pretty damn good. If I have an open shot, I'd go Chris, then him I think.

    Re: Anthony Booker

I thought he at least deserved to give Royce a few breaks in the second half.

    Re: Anthony Booker

Book didnt play in the second half because Melvin was doing a good job chasing Kim English around (sometimes off of triple screens) and Royce needed to stay in the game because was the only one who could create any kind of offense in the second half.

I like Booker too but the matchups will dictate his PT. Gotta love him going 5 out of his last 5 from behind the arc, he's shooting with a lot of confidence.

    Re: Anthony Booker

I have been most impressed with Babb and Booker over conference play for sure. Royce would be next but I had higher expectations for me. I would say Booker has been the biggest surprise. I wouldn't say NBA quality but he definitely works hard and is under control in the game.

    Re: Anthony Booker

I would have liked to see us make Mizzou match up with US maybe -Melvin was playing well, and can guard anyone. Let Booker protect the rim and Royce be Royce. I just feel we're missing out on some minutes from maybe another special player. I know the coaches see him and I trust the coaches, I'd like to see about 8 minutes more from Booker and maybe 8 less from Allen :) If that means going bigger, then so be it

Booker doesn't give us enough offensively to make up for the obvious mismatch of him (or Royce) trying to guard English running around off screens.
