    Thumbs down Barney Cotton..

is as bad or worse at Ames High as he was at ISU.

Ames High would drive down the field rushing, and than get into the red zone, and attempt to pass to his son three times in a row, to build his son's stat's.

The week before the ISU, IU game, when two assistants wore ISU shirts to practice for Ames High, he demanded they either take them off or turn them inside out, when one of the assistants refused either option he thru a fit the complete practice.

That is what Cotten is doing now?

However, one game is no way to make an accurate assertion of a coach. Has he done this repeatedly? I thought Ames was ranked in the state?

I think Barney is just there for the year since his kid only had a year left. Probably didn't want to move under the circumstances I'm guessing. I'm sure that moron will get another job somewhere next year.

    Re: Barney Cotton..

he is coaching there...and i have heard from a number of ppl who do not like it...

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."
