Let us overthrow the CA regime!

How many of you are student Mens Bball ticket holders? Whenever I ask someone if they like basketball they always tell me no (and have never been to a game). They seem to think it's boring like soccer or something.

I am, I think basketball is as much if not more fun to watch than football just because of the constant action. Not to discount football, I love me some Cyclone football too.

Who cares? Would you rather they not give money to athletics?

I was a student and went to almost every bball game I could.

Like many have said before, the performance of the men's basketball team during the last decade has not encouraged strong student support.

Mainly I was just wondering why they haven't ever been to a game. I mean even if we lose it's still pretty fun.

    Re: Students going to games.

I think most of the students on this website are season ticket holders imo. but I am looking forward to tomorrow night. lowering season ticket prices would help to get more people in their but that is another can of worms

Some of those games when I was in school weren't that fun (McD era). Tho I still went to most of then that I could make it too.

    Re: Students going to games.

I doubt that lowering the prices would do more than the sellout and spillover they had this year.

It isn't the buying of tickets, it's the showing up. I think tomorrow will be better, and this team can win some attention and attendance.

    Re: Students going to games.

Isn't there something like 28,000 students at ISU now? And the student section is only like 3,000? The odds of you talking to student that has student tickets aren't very good just going by the percentages.

    Re: Students going to games.

I am convinved that there are a few hundred student season ticket holders that will never go to a game.

I have talked to multiple people who didn't even realize they had tix until the season was half over.

    It's pretty sad.

    Re: Students going to games.

Student season tickets sold out this year. I had to get the $99 package and the join cyclone alley seperately. My seats in the upper decks are always open because I sit in CA.

There are currently 2019 people enrolled in CA according to their reward sheet tracker on their homepage.

Student season ticket holder here. Haven't missed a MBB game that's included in the package... And also went to the Texas game as my Dad has four upper balcony 99 dollar season tickets... I've been disappointed in the student attendance this year to say the least. If you buy season tickets, that means you should GO TO EVERY GAME YOU CAN.... Not just when you feel like going or picking the good games.
